The United States Grand Prix in Austin has confirmed its long-term future in Formula 1 after signing a new agreement that extends its stay at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) until 2034. The deal marks one of the longest commitments on the current F1 calendar, ensuring that the Texas venue remains a key part of the championship’s growing presence in the U.S.
COTA has hosted the race since 2012, becoming a fan favorite for its challenging layout and lively atmosphere. The renewal reflects F1’s confidence in the circuit’s management and its importance in reaching American audiences. Over the years, Austin has established itself as a cornerstone of the sport’s U.S. expansion, paving the way for new events in Miami and Las Vegas.
Stefano Domenicali, Formula 1 CEO, expressed satisfaction with the agreement, praising the dedication of organizers and local authorities. He highlighted the race’s role in strengthening F1’s popularity in North America. COTA founder Bobby Epstein also welcomed the deal, noting it allows for continued investment in infrastructure and fan experience.
With record attendance figures and consistent positive feedback from teams and drivers, Austin’s place in Formula 1’s future now looks secure for another decade.
