On June 26, the heart of Athens will pulse with adrenaline as a portion of the city transforms into a thrilling race course for the EKO Rally Acropolis.
Spectators will witness the roar of elite cars from the World Rally Championship as they launch from a ramp nestled in front of the historic Panathenaic Stadium, with the iconic Acropolis standing majestically in the background. This specially crafted 1,500-meter route promises to deliver excitement, concluding at the elegant Zappeion.
In the days that follow, the rally will weave its way through the stunning landscapes of the Peloponnese, Central Greece, and Thessaly, showcasing the natural splendor of the country while simultaneously uplifting local and national economies.
“This event is woven into the very fabric of Greece’s cultural and sporting legacy,” remarked Deputy Minister of Sports Giannis Vroutsis during a press conference. He highlighted the rally's remarkable impact, noting that it contributed €20 million to the Greek economy in 2021, a figure that has soared to over €45 million in just four years.
