Formula 1 touched down at a newly upgraded Hungaroring, signaling the start of a refreshed chapter in Hungarian motorsport. Though the full-scale renovations are set for completion by 2026 to honor the 40th anniversary, several key upgrades have already debuted.

A sleek new 36-garage pit building, a 10,000-seat grandstand, and expanded hospitality areas now redefine the race-day experience. Zsolt Gyulay, Hungaroring Sport Zrt.'s CEO, expressed pride in the circuit's modern transformation, while State Secretary Dr. Adam Schmidt emphasized its cultural significance.

With a sold-out crowd and global attention—even a nod in Hollywood’s upcoming F1 film—the Hungaroring is ready for the future.

The partial renovation of the Hungaroring ahead of its 40th anniversary signals a strong commitment to maintaining Hungary's place on the Formula 1 calendar. With updated infrastructure and sold-out attendance, the event highlighted growing global interest and Budapest's rising prominence in motorsport. As the countdown to 2026 continues, the circuit's transformation is set to elevate both fan experience and international reputation.
