Indian Racing Festival Finale Brings Formula Night Street Race to Navi Mumbai

Navi Mumbai is set to make motorsport history this December as it hosts the first-ever Formula Night Street Race in India. The event will serve as the grand finale of the Indian Racing Festival, showcasing a mix of local and international racing talent on a newly developed FIA-certified street circuit.

The 3.753 km circuit, designed with 14 turns, runs through Palm Beach Road and offers views of Nerul Lake. This development follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd. (RPPL) and the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC), attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He welcomed the project as a milestone for Maharashtra, emphasizing its role in promoting tourism and creating jobs.

Fans can look forward to a night-time double-header featuring the Indian Racing League (IRL) and the Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC). Both races are expected to draw strong global interest, making Navi Mumbai a new hub for motorsport in India. The Indian Racing Festival has already held successful editions in Hyderabad and Chennai, and the 2025 season concludes with this landmark event.

The Formula Night Street Race in Navi Mumbai represents a turning point for Indian motorsport. With its FIA-certified street circuit, international participation, and backing from state leadership, the finale of the Indian Racing Festival is set to leave a lasting legacy. Motorsport enthusiasts can expect high-speed action, while the city itself gains visibility as a host for global events.
