ready to welcome drivers. Venue manager Damien White shared his excitement over the long-awaited launch, which will feature a debut track day run by Supercars co-driver David Russell and The Drive Team. Russell, having recently tested the layout, praised its technical design and potential. Early interest is encouraged via the official website ahead of the event

announcement.

Overcoming years of development delays, Circuit Italia officially welcomed drivers to its newly completed racetrack in New South Wales. Venue manager Damien White celebrated the occasion, inviting motorsport enthusiasts to be part of the circuit’s first public event.

Supercars co-driver David Russell, leading The Drive Team, will oversee the upcoming debut

track day. His recent visit to the circuit confirmed its appeal—featuring ten right turns, five lefts, and notable elevation shifts, the layout offers one of the most technically demanding driving experiences in Australia.

Russell commended Circuit Italia’s configuration, emphasizing its elevation gain of 33.9 metres and overall flow. He highlighted the track’s challenge and satisfaction, describing it as one of the top layouts in the country. The venue, now open for registration, aims to host high-level motorsport activities under Motorsport Australia licensing.

Conveniently located just 20 minutes from Newcastle Airport, the circuit benefits from strong

domestic flight access and future international links. This strategic location boosts its appeal to visiting drivers and fans alike.

Circuit Italia marks a significant addition to Australia’s motorsport infrastructure. With its unique layout, professional oversight, and strategic location, the circuit is positioned for long-term success. While Supercars have not confirmed future involvement, the launch event and interest from respected figures like David Russell set a strong precedent.
