The 2025 Ipswich Super440 delivered Queensland Raceway’s largest crowd in more than a decade, with 51,723 fans attending across three days. It marked the circuit’s first appearance on the Supercars calendar since 2019.

Supercars CEO James Warburton praised the strong turnout during Sunday’s broadcast, noting the significance of returning to a key motorsport region after a six-year absence. He credited the series board, Chairman Barclay Nettlefold, and circuit owner Tony Quinn for bringing the event back and making facility upgrades that enhanced the experience.

Warburton emphasised the importance of collaboration between Supercars, its partners, and government support to stage major events of this scale. He expressed optimism about the Ipswich round’s future, but confirmed discussions are still needed to secure its place on next year’s schedule.

With Ruapuna already confirmed as the 13th round for 2026, Ipswich’s inclusion would depend on finalising payment terms with teams for an additional event. Quinn has made clear his desire to see the race return, highlighting the passionate local fan base as a key factor.

The Ipswich Super440’s success has reinforced Queensland Raceway’s role as a major venue on the Australian motorsport scene.
