Silverstone Circuit, home of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix, has announced the rollout of full-circuit 5G connectivity. The upgrade is designed to support fans, teams, and broadcasters, providing faster speeds and stronger coverage throughout the venue and is delivered by Boldyn Networks.
With more than 1.5 million visitors annually, Silverstone requires reliable digital infrastructure. The new 5G network ensures seamless connectivity during test days, race weekends, and other events, allowing attendees to share, stream, and message without interruptions.
The 5G upgrade is built to work with every UK mobile operator. According to Silverstone, the
network maintains high performance even when the grandstands are full, ensuring consistent access for everyone on-site.
Stuart Pringle OBE, CEO of Silverstone, commented on the announcement: “With over 1.5
million visitors annually, reliable connectivity is a must. This upgrade enhances the experience for everyone. We're thrilled to team up with Boldyn for world-class connectivity.”
The upgrade is part of Silverstone’s broader strategy to transform the venue into a fully
connected, high-performance digital space. Fans can now enjoy a more interactive experience, while teams and broadcasters benefit from uninterrupted access to critical data.
