NASCAR has officially released its 2026 Cup Series schedule, spotlighting several headline
changes and enhancements.
Chicagoland Speedway (Joliet, IL) returns on July 5th, replacing the Mexico City race, which
NASCAR is shelving in 2026 due to the FIFA World Cup schedule conflicts.
The All-Star Race shifts to Dover Motor Speedway on May 17th—marking the first time the track hosts the event Official Site Of NASCAR.
NASCAR retains its first-ever San Diego street race on the Naval Base Coronado (June 21st),

Homestead-Miami Speedway becomes the host of the Championship Weekend, signaling a
return to rotating finales.
North Wilkesboro Speedway revives a points-paying Cup Series event for the first time since 1996, set for July 19th
The Truck Series will participate in the St. Petersburg street race on February 28, together with IndyCar.

The season wraps up on Nov 8th at Homestead-Miami Speedway for the championship.
Following the successful debut of the Viva México 250 in June 2025, NASCAR confirmed it will not return in 2026 due to scheduling conflicts tied to the World Cup. However, discussions for a potential return in 2027 are underway.
